********************************************************************** OBSERVE-IT - FAQ For more information or to get the current version please visit www.observe-it.de. ********************************************************************** Faq #01: During the installation appears a message because of the unknown publisher, can I ignore this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This means, that the program is not signed by an official certificate. However it is freeware and you can decide whether you trust it or not. Faq #02: I have installed Observe-IT in a different user account. Now I can't execute it in my normal user account. Why? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This behavior is by design, because it is a click-once installation. You must install it in the user account (or every account), where it is to be executed. Faq #03: In which programming language was Observe-IT developed? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- It was developed in Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition. Faq #04: How can Observe-IT or a check be executed on start of my system? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In the menu options -> program you can define a collection, which is loaded automatically when Observe-IT starts. You can copy the link to Observe-IT into your startup group to execute it at logon. Faq #05: Why is the user interface available only in english? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I develop it in my private time and would like to keep the work for multiple languages small. It addresses to administrators and experienced users, which have mostly few problems with english user interfaces. There will be a german manual, which can be downloaded from the homepage. Translations into further languages are not planned. If there are users, who wants to translate the manuals, i will be glad if they contact me.
